Prunes are known to relieve constipation and help protect against disease. It’s not surprising that prunes fell out of favour considering their close association with relieving constipation. Dietary fiber is the part of plant foods that the enzymes in your body cannot digest and that is therefore not absorbed into the bloodstream.
